I never cared much for this song the first time it came out. It lacked that certain something to connect me, that feel – a groove, a swing, some balls, or something. If you’ll pardon the imagery, to me it was more reminiscent of two plain people having boring sex. It wasn’t until the Foo Fighters remade it that it had any meat on its bones. From that moment on, it’s had a love/hate relationship for me and, therefore, no real memories attached.
All that aside, I completely agree with you on music and memory. I find it amusingly coincidental that you would post this right after I posted This Moment, Forever Frozen, especially considering you have these comics queued 2-3 weeks out.
Mark, I love it. You are so right, and I already know some of the soundtrack of my kids lives and what memories will suface when they hear certain songs. Great job, my friend!
“Baker Street” rocks. Honestly, I never liked the Foo Fighters abbrasive version, although I always applaud artists who do something different with the original version they’re covering.
“Rain Drops Keep Falling On My Head” is the song that occupies my first music/memory moment.

I was thinking the same thing, Pete. As a matter of fact, when I read yours I was wishing I could go ahead and post the one I did at the same time.
I love it! Both your comic and the song!! Baker Street brings back memories from a long time ago.

You’re correct, Jack.
